Jean Baptiste is senior geologist from Burundi. He holds a Master degree in Leadership and Management of Organizations from Université Lumière de Bujumbura – Burundi, a Bachelor of Sciences (4years) degree in Mineralogy and Geological Sciences from University of Burundi. He has various skills and trainings including geological exploration, governance in mining sector, due diligence in conflict areas, gender aspect and research in mining sector. He is currently working for International NGO Pact in Burundi as Country Team Leader for ITSCI Project (3Ts Traceability and Due Diligence).

He has more than 10 years’ experience particularly in Artisanal and Small Scale Mining (ASM) in Great Lakes Region where he experienced challenges of ASM management including the conflict minerals, water pollution, Environment, Occupational health and Safety and market issues.
