The Africa Mining Hall of Fame selects and inducts individuals from all facets of the mining industry. Such individuals have two things in common: their significant and lasting impact on Africa’s mining industry for decades, and through their achievements, their contribution to the high standard of living invariable shared by the people of the continent. Extraordinary achievements for those who have made unique and unprecedented contributions to the industry by age 35, forms the Junior Mining Hall of Fame category.
There are three categories currently.
- Mining Hall of Fame Laureate – for those who have decades of extraordinary contributions to the industry.
- Junior Mining Hall of Fame – for those below 35 years who have equally made unique and unprecedented contributions.
- African-Diaspora Mining Hall of Fame – for diasporas who have made a life time of contribution into the mining industry in Africa.
